description

You may learn very extraordinary things about a man, just having a look at his clothing.

In the Middle Ages, clothing had a great symbolism, and heraldic knight tabard costume could even tell you all the ins and outs of owner, from the origin and character to the aspirations and faith.

Here is a knight in medieval tabard in front of you. At the first sight, his outfit is quite simple: only two colors and one figure. However, this strict laconicism may tell even more, than the most complicated coat of arms, full of colors and figures.

Well, black and white, niello and silver. Opposite colors. Purity and chastity, mercy and faithfulness, hope and honour, sincerity and eloquence of silver. And, darkness, gloominess and mourning of black colour are over against it. What else, black one mutilates true meaning of colors, which it goes with. Personalizing constancy, steadiness, might and invincibility by itself, it reflect meaning of silver as in the mirror, but vice versa.

Warrior in the knight tabard costume like this is strong-willed and severe. We can’t call him kind and merciful. He is inevitable, but persistent in purposes accomplishing. There is a color of might and power; it is stronger than any other, just like its wearer is.

And, here is an eagle at this black and silver field. Double-headed eagle, divided accurately in vertical direction: silver one on the black field and black one on the silver field. Being native of the Middle East, this symbol of the state authority simply screams about power, insightfulness, might and courage of its wearer.

“Sapienti sat” as ancient Romans would say. It is not done thing to recognize knight in such medieval tabard before proper order, and we would recommend you not to risk.

However, if you have something to warn others weightily and without fanfare, so handywomen of Steel Mastery has already threaded needles and ready to make custom tabard exactly by your regards.
